Hey there, Everyone!

You scroll through Instagram and see a photo you'd rather not be tagged in. No worries, untagging yourself is a breeze!

Here's how to do it on the Instagram app:

Taking Back the Tag:

  1. Tap Your Profile: Open the Instagram app and tap on your profile picture in the bottom right corner.
  2. Find the Tagged Photos: Look for the grid of photos with a tag icon beneath it. This section displays all the posts you've been tagged in.
  3. Spot the Unwanted Tag: Select the photo you want to untag yourself from. It can be in your main profile grid or the "Tagged Photos" section.
  4. Target the Tag: Once the photo opens, tap on your username (the tag itself) displayed on the picture.
  5. Escape the Tag: A small menu will pop up. Select "Remove Me From Post" to completely untag yourself from the photo.

Confirmation is Key:

Instagram will ask you to confirm your choice. Don't worry, the person who posted the photo won't be notified that you removed yourself.

Bonus Tip: Taking Control of Tags:

Enable "Manually Approve Tags" in your settings. This gives you the power to review and approve any tags before they appear on your profile.

Remember:

  • Unfortunately, you can't untag yourself from Instagram Stories. If you're tagged in a story you don't like, you can always politely message the user and ask them to remove it.

Now you have the power to control your tagged photos!

That was it for this one!
