Hello Questers!!

So today i'll be sharing the format for THE VALORANT CHAMPIONS TOUR ( VCT ) 2024 SEASON 

Since this format is quiet complicated , i'll try explaining it in a lineant way. So let's get into it !!

POINTS EARNING

Since there are going to be many matches , teams will be awarded 1 point each for winning a match. These points are announced a new addition to the format of VCT 2024 and known as CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS.

However , the winner team of each league will be awarded an additional 3 points .

The highest point scorer all over the league will get a direct ticket to THE CHAMPIONS.

SEQUENCE FOR  LEAGUES :

1. KICKOFF TOURNAMENTS 
2. MASTERS MADRID
3. INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE STAGE 1
4. MASTERS SHANGHAI
5. INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE STAGE 2

These are the 5 major leagues which will be held in order to find the next Valorant World Champion.

NOTE:

• Among the 5 events , only MASTERS MADRID and MASTERS SHANGHAI will be a combined event.
•  8 teams for MASTERS MADRID and 12 teams for MASTERS SHANGHAI will be taking part and competing.

• The rest 3 events will be held region wise which i'll be explainig in next panels.

REGION DISTRIBUTION :

There will be 4 regions in the international stages and the kickoff tournament.

• VCT AMERICAS :

This region will cover the North and the South america .

• VCT EMEA :

This region will cover  Europe , Middle east and Africa .

• VCT PACIFIC :

This region will cover the whole asia and neighbouring countries excluding china .

• VCT CN :

This region will cover only China .

1) KICKOFF TOURNAMENTS :

This is the first stage of the internatonal stages where teams will put on a hard fight to get qualified and earn points .

This was held in between late january and early march .

First of all , a total of 11 teams will be put for the competiton for each region's kickoff tournaments.

NOTE:

•  Each region will conduct their own format for the KICKOFFS ,  IL 1 and the IL 2.

• So i'll be taking the reference for VCT PACIFIC for explaining the format .

11 Teams from the whole pacific region will be selected for playing the whole 5  international leagues , These 11 teams will fight for earning Championship points and for getting qualified for the masters event.

These are the 11 teams which will be fighting to earn points.

These 11 teams will be divided into 3 groups , with 2 groups containing 4 teams and 1 group containing 3 teams.

FORMAT FOR KICKOFFS:

The kickoff tournament will be held in 3 phases.

• PHASE 1:

A total of 3 groups will be formed in the following manner. The matchup between teams will be through random drawing .

The straight winners or #1 will be promoted directly to phase 3 this tournament.

The #2 of each group will be sent to phase 2 of this tournamnet .

• PHASE 2:

The #2 teams will be playing in a single round robin format , i.e 2 matches for each team.

The winner of the phase 2 will be joining the 3 ,  phase 1 winner teams for  playing phase 3 .

• PHASE 3:

This will be the laste phase for the tournamnet and the top 2 finishing teams will be advancing towards the MASTERS MADRID Event .

This phase will be a single elimination phase where the winning team and the runnerup team will be goining for masters madrid , but will be awarded extra point for winnig the kickoff tournament.

Since masters madrid is itself a complicated format , i'll be explaining that in another post.

2.) INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE STAGE 1:

This international league stage 1 , will form 2 groups , GROUP ALPHA  of 5 teams and GROUP OMEGA of 6 teams.

These teams will be drawn at random and will compete in a single round robin .

The top 3 teams from each group , i.e, 6 teams will be advancing for a double elimination round in the elimination bracket.

Here , after the scheduled matches , the top 3 teams will be punching their tickets for MASTERS SHANGHAI .

3.) INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE STAGE 2:

This stage will also includw formation of ALPHA and the OMEGA group , but this time they will be competing within their grups in a single round robin format.

These teams will compete each other and the top 6 performers throughout the course for stage 1 and stage 2 will make it to the STAGE 2 PLAYOFFS.

The top 6 standings of out of the 11 teams will now fight with each other in a double elimination frmat for the top 3 standings

Now the Top 3 teams from this final playoffs and the 1 team having the highest championship points will make their way for the VALORANT CHAMPIONS.

So in this way , the top 4 teams from each region and a total of 16 teams will put on a thrilling fight for the cup and to become the 

VALORANT WORLD CHAMPIONS

for the season 2024.
