Good news for Android users! Google Play Store is making it easier to identify trustworthy government apps. After testing, they're launching labels for official government apps in over 14 countries. This helps users avoid fake apps that try to steal your information or money.

Users will be able to see a new "Government" badge on official apps. If they tap on the badge, a pop-up displays a message saying, "Play verified this app is affiliated with a government entity." The badge also shows up in lists like "Top Charts" for apps.

To make sure these labels are accurate, Google collaborated with governments and app developers to get the right apps on board. India, in particular, has struggled with fake government apps appearing in the Play Store. Google reminds everyone that their existing rules already ban apps with misleading information, especially those pretending to be official.

Overall this is a great feature which would let the users to be safe from unethical and scam apps...
