[T²: Tech Tips] Hack Your Chats: How to Message Yourself on WhatsApp!

Hey there, Everyone!!

This feature is my personal favourite!! A quick way to jot down a note or send yourself a reminder.

You can actually message yourself, creating a handy personal chat space.

Here's how to do it on both Android and iPhone:

  • Save Yourself: First, you need to save your own phone number as a contact. Open your phone's regular Contacts app and create a new contact. Add your phone number and give yourself a name (like "My Notes" or "Reminders" or simply "ME").
  • Start Chatting: Now, open WhatsApp. Tap the "New Chat" button (it's a green square with plus icon on Android, and a pencil and paper icon on iPhone). You'll see your contacts list. Find your own name (the one you just saved) and tap to open a chat.

Done! You can now message yourself anything you want - shopping lists, to-do's, funny articles, or even just random thoughts.

Bonus Tip:

For easy access, pin your chat with yourself to the top of your WhatsApp chats. This way, you'll always have your personal message board just a tap away.

Happy Messaging!
