Threads users can now choose who can quote their posts, adding to the existing option of limiting who can reply. This follows plans announced last month by Adam Mosseri, head of both Threads and Instagram. Mosseri hopes this will create a more positive experience by giving users more control. (Currently, quote limiting is only available on the mobile app.)

Users can open the conversation to “Anyone,” or limit it to “Profiles you follow” or “Mentioned only.” These controls should make it harder to “dunk” on others, where users quote someone else’s post in order to make them look dumb.

This could be a good idea as it would lead to stop people steal other's quotes or ideas .
