Here I am with very exciting news! Today, Google Wallet was officially launched in India. Though it doesn't come with so much of compatibility with the merchants in India, it does come with few of its partners Straight from the launch.

Let's understand more about the Google Wallet application.

Homescreen

When you open the Google Wallet application, your home screen will look like this, including your saved passes and tickets in this form.

Add to Wallet

Here, you get 4 options to add your passes from your device:

  • Photo: You can use any barcode to create a shortcut to it in Google Wallet, such as your boarding pass or BookMyShow movie ticket. And everything is shareable with others.
  • Loyalty: With Loyalty option, you can use your Credit points or reward points from partnered merchants effeciently.
  • Gift card: You can link all your gift cards from supported partner merchants and shop online accordingly with your remaining balances.
  • Transit Pass: You can use your Metro Pass and Bus Pass here with the QR Code. Currently, only Kochi Metro Rail is there as a partnered merchant of India.

Password Manager

With Google Wallet, Google made it handy and integrated a password manager into it, where you can copy, edit, and share your passwords.
