The hapus or Alphonso is one of the most expensive and finest varieties of mangoes cultivated in India. It is renowned for its rich, creamy texture and distinct sweet flavour. This mainly grows in the western parts of India. It is known as Hapus in some states.
Dasheri is sweet and fragrant, with a fibreless flesh that makes them a favourite among mango lovers and mostly grown in parts of North India.
Hailing from the western state of Gujarat in India, Kesar is known for its golden saffron-like pulp, sweet taste, and distinct aroma. It is also among the most expensive varieties. It was first cultivated by the Nawabs of Junagarh in 1931.
A popular variety from Uttar Pradesh, Langra is known for its unique flavour and long, slender shape. This variety is available from July to August.
Predominantly found in southern India, Totapuri is known for its distinctive shape, tangy taste, and minimal fibre content. This is mainly used for salads and pickles.

Neelam mangoes are known for their bright orange flesh, sweet taste, and minimal fibre and are grown in almost every part of India.
Raspuri mangoes are largely grown in Karnataka. It is known for its sweet flavour and juicy texture, and is available between May and June.
