An anime adaptation of Garena Free Fire, a mobile game developed and published by Garena, is now in the works.

Garena Free Fire is an immersive battle royale game created specifically for mobile gamers. It was the most downloaded mobile game in the world between 2019 and 2021, and the most-

downloaded mobile battle royale in 2022 and 2023, according to data.ai. In February 2024, its peak daily active users exceeded 100 million.

The anime production will be jointly funded by Garena Online Private Limited and KADOKAWA. KADOKAWA's overseas branch, KADOKAWA QINGYU, will be in charge of the anime production. The anime will be broadcast and streamed in Japan and around the world.
