Detailed Map Results : 🏆🎉 Congratulations to Gen.G for Winning Valorant Masters Shanghai! 🎉🏆 from @RockyFTW.

Map 1: Breeze

Gen.G started confidently on Breeze, running their default Ascent composition with Yoru, Jett, and Astra. Lakia quickly won the first pistol round for Gen.G, and the team bought t3xture an Operator, which proved instrumental in winning the third round flawlessly. Team Heretics struggled on attack, only winning their first round after seven attempts. Gen.G's defense was strong, with t3xture controlling A site with his Operator and Meteor using Yoru utility to slow down Heretics' attacks. Gen.G led 10-2 at the half and continued their dominance, ending Breeze with a 13-6 victory.

Map 2: Icebox

On Icebox, Team Heretics opted for a double initiator composition with Sova, while Gen.G chose Gekko. Gen.G won the first pistol round and maintained an early lead, but Team Heretics fought back, tying the game at 4-4. Despite strong plays from t3xture and Lakia, Team Heretics managed to counter Gen.G's tempo changes. Heretics’RieNs made crucial plays, and a close defuse with 0.06 seconds remaining helped them secure Icebox 13-9, tying the series 1-1.

Map 3: Ascent

Both teams ran standard compositions on Ascent, focusing on the Jett duel between t3xture and Wo0t. Gen.G continued their pistol round winning streak, but Team Heretics' paTiTek and Wo0t started to shine, disrupting Gen.G's plans. Wo0t's Operator play made A site difficult for Gen.G to attack. Despite Lakia's high-risk flank to tie the half 6-6, Team Heretics pulled ahead, with Boo's clutch play reinforcing their lead. Heretics won Ascent 13-9, taking a 2-1 series lead.

Map 4: Lotus

Lotus saw both teams using the same compositions again. Team Heretics initially led 3-0, but Gen.G's aggressive defenses turned the tide. t3xture's quadra kill with a Raze grenade combo was a highlight, as Gen.G dominated the rest of the half, leading 9-3. A flawless pistol round win in the second half put the map out of reach for Team Heretics. Gen.G won Lotus 13-4, forcing a decisive fifth map.

Map 5: Split

The final map, Split, featured another mirror matchup. Meteor's 4K in the attack pistol round set the pace for Gen.G. The team's change of pace and t3xture's sharpshooting overwhelmed Team Heretics. Gen.G led 9-3 at halftime and continued their momentum, winning the second pistol round and converting the bonus. Gen.G closed out Split 13-3, securing their historic win.

Throughout the series, t3xture posted an impressive 24 first-kills, the highest in the lobby. Gen.G's victory at Masters Shanghai not only redeemed their previous finals loss but also earned the Pacific region its first international VCT title.
