Hello Guys This is Sourav, hope you are doing extremely well and today we are going to talk about an upcoming Indian game which is officially supported by Sony's playstation team in terms of development 😍. The developer Vaibhav himself told this news, so what is the game all about and What is Sony doing here! Let's get to know.
So, it all begins with the Sony PlayStation's India Hero Project. So it is an initiative taken by Sony to support the in-house development of Indian games and to launch the games on PlayStation so that, the game reaches each and every corner of the world. A similar project has been put up for China also by the name of China Hero Project.
So, there were 5 games which Sony announced in the first batch to officially get Sony's support and be there for playstation. On of which was ofcourse Mukti.
So, Mukti is an Indian game developed by a Mumbai based studio, Underdogs. The game is set in a museum premise where you can play in first person perspective and focuses on major issues like trafficking, so the protagonist has to go and research about trafficking that has taken place around the museum premises and get it uncovered. The interesting and engaging story is what pleasing the audience about the game.
So, in the story we play as Arya Roy(the protagonist) who came to Mumbai to solve the Mystery of her grandfather Vikram Roy, who along with friends went to Sunderbans and were accused of mass killing. So this is the mystery plot, which we as Arya has to uncover. The story was told years ago maybe when the official game comes there may be changes in the story line.
So, Mr. Vaibhav who is the developer of the game recently posted a video on his YouTube channel, where he told he has done pre-production of the game for atleast 3 years and in 2017 during IGDC the game was not only nominated for the best Upcoming game of the year but also won the award, it was too difficult for it to win because the runner up was none other than RAJI, yup you know how good Raji game is 😍.
Vaibhav sir, told he was inspired by a first person exploration game known as Gone Home, which has overall good reviews on Steam.
He also talked about how the game is gonna be about 4 hours in length, but again this info was shared in 2021 so maybe this may vary.
So the game won the Sony's IHP program that we discussed earlier and not only sony will fully fund the game but also provides the full fledged tech support that leads to develop a pretty awesome game. The Global recognition is best benefit that game can get from Sony's support.
So, recently getting this big support the developers are aiming for a bigger release than ever and want the game to represent INDIAN GAMING on global scale.
Take care
