Video over New Radio (ViNR/VONR) improves video streaming and multimedia services in 5G networks. It enhances video quality by supporting higher resolutions, sharper details, and smoother streaming with reduced buffering. ViNR also contributes to lower latency, minimising delays in video playback. With improved video quality and reduced latency, it enhances the overall multimedia experience, with more immersive video calls, video streaming, and multimedia applications

Advantages of VoNR:

  • Voice over New Radio (VoNR) provides enhanced voice quality, with higher-definition audio and reduced background noise.
  • VoNR also enables lower latency, ensuring near-real-time communication. Moreover, it improves network efficiency, allowing simultaneous voice and data transmission.
  • VoNR enables smooth voice handovers between 5G and other network technologies, providing a seamless experience for users.

How is Voice over New Radio (VoNR) different from Voice over LTE (VoLTE)?

VoNR is specifically designed for voice calls over 5G networks, while VoLTE is designed for voice calls over LTE networks. VoNR leverages 5G infrastructure to provide improved voice quality, lower latency, and better network efficiency compared to VoLTE. While both technologies enable voice calls, VoNR is tailored to the unique capabilities and enhancements offered by 5G networks

Hope you guys got some clear information about VoNR and its working.

Thanks
