Peace be upon you Questers 😇

I'm Yasir Hamid Ansari, and today We're about to take a rollercoaster ride through some of the craziest beauty trends in history. Trust me, you'll be glad you're living in 2024! 😅

  • In the 16th century, people used lead-based makeup to look super pale
  • Why? Pale skin meant you were rich enough to stay indoors
  • Side effects? Oh, just hair loss, tooth decay, and sometimes death! 💀
  • Talk about dying to be beautiful!

👣 Tiny Feet: The Painful Chinese Tradition

  • In ancient China, tiny feet were considered super attractive
  • Girls' feet were tightly bound to stop them from growing
  • Result? Deformed, tiny feet that made walking super painful
  • Beauty is pain, but this is next level! 🙈

  • Egyptians crushed beetle shells to make shimmery green eyeshadow
  • Cleopatra probably rocked this look!
  • Bug-based makeup? That's what I call going green! 🐞

Wacky Beauty Fact: In the 18th century, European women wore fake beauty marks called 'patches'. They even had secret meanings based on where you stuck them on your face!

It's crazy to think what people did in the name of beauty! Makes you wonder what future generations will think of our beauty trends. Face masks made of snail slime, anyone?

🐌What's the weirdest beauty trend you've ever tried or heard of? Spill the tea in the comments! 👇 Let's see who's been the bravest (or craziest) in their beauty adventures!
