Google is testing a new music identification feature for its Circle to Search tool. This feature allows users to identify songs by playing, singing, or humming them directly on their device. It was recently spotted on a Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphone running version 15.32 of the Google app.

When activated, the feature displays a music note icon next to the usual Google Search button. By tapping the icon, users can begin identifying songs. In testing, the feature successfully recognized a song playing from a YouTube video, displaying the correct artist and song title.

Although this feature appears promising, it is currently unclear if it is available to all beta testers or if it will be rolled out widely. Some users reported not seeing the feature on other devices like the Galaxy S24 Ultra, so it might still be in early testing phases.

Google has not yet officially announced this feature, so its availability and further details remain unknown. If fully implemented, this could add a useful tool to the Circle to Search experience.
