On August 18th, a massive 90-foot-tall statue of Lord Hanuman was unveiled at a Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Houston. Located at Ashtalakshmi Temple in Sugar Land, Texas, in the U.S. Named the "Statue of Union" it is the "embodiment of strength, devotion, and selfless service," all qualities associated with Lord Hanuman and his role in reuniting Lord Ram and Sita.

The Official site pens "Benevolence, strength, and hope will be radiated from the Panchaloha Abhaya Hanuman Statue. The announcement says that the magnificent statue will serve as a spiritual epicenter. It will let hearts find solace, mind find peace and let souls find a path to transcendence.
