Instagram has launched an educational resource for aspiring creators, called Creator Lab. The Meta-owned photo and video sharing platform has been investing in educational resources for creators since 2019. The Born on Instagram creator education and enablement program which is already available for creators on the platform facilitates this education at scale. Now, in an effort to update the educational content on Born on Instagram, the platform is launching Creator Lab, which promises to be a new resource for aspiring creators. Creator Lab will contain content from creators, who share their experiences and insights, including what they wish they had known when they started and what they have learned through trial and error.
Commenting on the launch, Paras Sharma, Director, Global Partnerships at Meta India stated:
“On Instagram, we're focused on providing an experience that allows you to connect with others over shared interests. We take feedback from young people seriously, and it shapes many of our decisions - from the features we launch to our newly launched Creator Lab, which aims to empower creators to express themselves freely and succeed in their own unique way.”
As per the company, 14 content creators will be featured in the content on Creator Lab, who represent diverse geographies, genres, and growth journeys. Some of them are Aabir Vyas, Govind Kaushal, Meethika Dwivedi, Raghav Sachhar, and The Vixens Crew. The creators will share takeaways around three themes that are essential to achieving sustained success:
The content is available in English and Hindi, depending on the preference of the creators who are part of the videos. More content will be added to the Lab, and the content will also be captioned in six Indian languages - Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Hindi in the coming days.
