Hello, Questers! 👋

I recently had an amazing one-day trip to Trivandrum and couldn't wait to share the highlights with all of you. Whether you're from Kerala or just curious about this vibrant city, I hope my experience adds some value to your next visit!

The day kicked off early with a fresh start from the iconic Padmanabhaswamy Temple. The architectural grandeur of the temple left me in awe. Mornings are ideal for a visit here, as the temple opens early and you can avoid the rush.

Then I visited the sacred pond, Padmatheertham, in front of the temple, then I visited the royal palace, Kuthira Malika, which is also a heritage museum, and the old clock tower, Methan Mani. If you're a fan of history and culture, these places are a must visit.

Then I headed to a Veketesha Bhavan, a famous nearby eatery, to enjoy some of their famous filter coffee and vadas, which was the perfect way to start my morning.

I hopped on the Trivandrum city circular bus, a convenient way to get around the city, and visited the Kerala Secratiate, home to all major government offices; it's an architectural marvel.

My next stop was Palayam, where I visited the famous Kerala University building and tried some sarbath to beat the heat from the famous Anamika sarbath and clicked some pictures of the underpass, which was painted beautifully and attractive.

My next stop was the famous Book Street and then to LMS Church, whose green and serene environment gives a relaxing feel, and its architecture is a blend of traditional Kerala style with British colonial influences. making it a calm and divine place to visit.

Then I headed to the Kerala Legislative Assembly Hall. The architecture and the importance of this place in Kerala's governance make it a significant visit, offering a majestic view. There was a church nearby, covered by lush grenery, and an old British graveyard was its highlight.

By evening, I was treated to a stunning view of Trivandrum city, set against the backdrop of a vibrant, colorful sunset. It was a mesmerizing view.

Then I returned back to Palayam where Palayam Juma Masjid, St. Joseph's Metropolitan Cathedral and Palayam Ganapathy Temple stand in close proximity.

This coexistence beautifully reflects the city's religious harmony and the inclusive spirit of Trivandrum's diverse community. At night, the temple, mosque, and church are beautifully lit up, adding even more charm to the city and enhancing its stunning view.

If you're planning a trip, the best time to visit Trivandrum is between October and February, when the weather is pleasant, making it ideal for sightseeing.
