inZOI is a life simulation game where the player can alter any aspect of their world to create unique stories and experiences. Just like in the real world, you can find jobs to make a living while forming deep relationships through interactions. With a complete community simulation of every character acting on their free will, you can experience unexpected events to feel the various emotions life has to offer. With inZOI, we hope to share the message that life itself is the true gift, and every journey has its own meaning.

Live the life of your dreams.

inZOI provides a variety of creative tools, so that players can visualize the life they've always dreamed of. Developed using Unreal Engine 5, the game's realistic graphics allows the players to let their imagination run free, with easy creation of different resources. Customize your character's appearance and outfit and build your custom home using a wide selection of freely-movable furniture and structures. You can also adjust different parts of your property and surrounding roads as well as aspects of your residing city for a fully customizable experience.

Gameplay of inZOI.

InZOI takes place in an open world environment, where players can direct their characters by point-and-click or by direct control. Players can customize their characters and houses how they desire, as well as edit the environments.

The player is an intern at a company, whose job it is to manage a neighbourhood of virtual people named Zoi.

Players will be able to share their creations and find new ones through the in-game canvas, and InZOI will also come with Plugins to allow for easy mod creation.

The game has an open world, as well as a mode where one can directly control a Zoi. The game has drivable vehicles as well as "active" careers, where the player can make the Zoi fulfill certain tasks. It also allows the ability to use generative AI to create in-game patterns. It has a custom furniture maker. There are eight needs, including "recognition".

Game Development.

InZOI is being developed by Korean game studio Krafton. The producer and director for InZOI is Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim. The game is being developed using Unreal Engine 5. The development of inZOI began in early 2023, with Krafton aiming to create a life simulation game that epitomizes depth and player agency. The game's development team was composed of industry veterans known for their work on high-profile simulation games. They sought to integrate advanced AI algorithms that drive character behavior, making each Zoi's actions and interactions as lifelike as possible.

The graphics engine used in inZOI was specifically developed to render highly detailed environments and characters. It allows for nuanced lighting effects, realistic textures, and intricate facial expressions, setting a new visual standard for the genre.

A significant aspect of the game's development focused on the "Canvas" platform – an integrated system designed for creators to share their custom content. This system has been instrumental in building inZOI's community and fostering a shared space for creativity and collaboration among players.

A character creator was released on August 20, 2024 on Steam. It will be available for a limited time, and will be removed by August 25. It gained 18,000 concurrent players at one point.
