Government of India to host a BGMI LAN event in November 2024 🤩❤️

In an exciting announcement, the Government of India has given a major boost to esports in the country. They've revealed that a BGMI tournament along with eFootball and WCC will be held in Goa, featuring international teams. This is part of Create in India Challenge Season 1, which is launched by Gov of India to promote the gaming and the creative industry in India.  


The government has also officially recognized esports as a distinct category separate from Fantasy, Teen Patti, Poker, Rummy, Online Gaming, Gambling, Casual Video Gaming, and Real Money Gaming (RMG). This recognition is set to provide a significant boost to esports, culminating in a LAN tournament to be hosted in Goa from September 20-24, 2024.


Tournament Format

Games


• Efootball Mobile 1v1 


•  World Cricket Championship 3 (WCC3)           (Mobile): 1 vs 1


•  Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI): Solo/Team Based.


Online Qualifiers:

• Four batches of qualifiers will be held online.


•. Top-ranked players from each batch will advance to the Grand Finals in Goa.


Grand Finals:


• eFootball/WCC3: 64 players (15 from each batch plus 4 international players.


• BGMI: 16 teams (3 from each batch plus 4     international teams)


Winners

• Cash awards and goodies for top performers.


Roadmap

• Registration Opens: August 23, September 1, September 18, October 4 .


Qualifiers:

• September 1 to September 15

•  September 18 to October 2

October 4 to October 19

October 21 to November 4

Grand Finals : November 20 to November 24 , GOA


Streaming Platform 

Quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals will be streamed on YouTube, aiming to attract millions of viewers.
