Naoki Yoshida, producer of Final Fantasy 16, has confirmed that Square Enix wants to release the game on Xbox Series S/X. However, no specific timeline has been provided. Yoshida assured Xbox players that there is still hope for an eventual Xbox port but was unable to offer further details.

Square Enix has faced challenges with recent releases, such as Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Final Fantasy XVI, which did not meet sales expectations. As a result, the company is shifting its strategy to focus on multi-platform launches rather than PlayStation exclusivity. This decision is part of their broader plan to release major titles across platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch in the future.

Final Fantasy 16's journey to Xbox remains uncertain, but fans of the franchise remain optimistic for its eventual release.
