Screen turns foggy at low brightness in Iqoo Z9s

When the brightness is lower than 10% the screen turns hazy and a gray tint takes over the screen. Even pure black looks gray. IS it a hardware issue or a software one. I still have some days left under the 14 days replacement,  shall I replace the phone?
