Set after the events of Black Ops Cold War and a fateful encounter with Raul Menendez in Black Ops 2, Black Ops 6 features an immersive campaign set in the early 90s. Along with the single-player campaign, players will have access to the round-based Zombies mode and a multiplayer mode with 16 maps and a playlist full of returning modes. The newly revealed PC requirements for Black Ops 6 reveal that the game should be able to run on a variety of aging and newer hardware with Windows 10 or 11. Minimum PC requirements for the game confirm that it will be able to run on a Ryzen 5 1400 or Intel Core i5-6600 CPU when paired with 8 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or a similar performing GPU with 2 GB of video memory, and an SSD with at least 102 GB of available storage space, which is less space than what was listed on leaked Black Ops 6 retail copies.

Black Ops 6 will launch on Thursday, October 24 at 9:00 PM PT, or Friday, October 25 at 12:00 AM ET, on PC via Battle.net and Steam. Activision also released a new PC launch map to reveal the times across various different regions. In preparation for the game's launch later that week, players on all platforms will be able to preload Black Ops 6 starting Monday, October 21 at 9:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET. It's worth noting that Xbox Game Pass subscribers will gain access to Black Ops 6 as a day one title as well.

Those on PC may want to update their AMD, NVIDIA, and Intel drivers as well, as a game-ready driver will help ensure compatibility with Black Ops 6 on launch day. Specifically, Activision recommends PC gamers update to AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition driver version 24.8.1, NVIDIA Game Ready Driver version 560.70, and Intel Arc Graphics driver version 32.0.101.5972 for their respective configurations. Players should also be mindful of storage space after launch, since Black Ops 6 will receive several post-launch updates over the next year.
