Both teams started with aggressive plays, with T1’s Faker securing First Blood. Top Esports (TES) quickly answered back with some kills of their own.

T1 took the lead in objectives, securing four Voidgrubs, two Dragons, and the Herald, despite TES trying to stop them. However, there wasn’t a big difference in gold between the teams.

T1 focused on getting stronger, especially powering up Zeus’s Camille. They avoided risky fights, even letting TES take a Dragon, as they prepared for larger team battles. TES also worked on strengthening their players, with Tian’s Ivern becoming a threat. They even got a kill near Baron, but T1 was careful not to engage in big fights too early.

Once T1 was ready, they obliterated TES in a team fight. TES made a desperate attempt at Baron, but T1’s Oner stole it, and T1 wiped out TES. Afterward, T1 pushed for victory and won Game 1.

In Game 2, Faker played one of his signature champions, Ahri, while TES’s Creme picked Sylas. Zeus from T1 picked Rumble, and TES’s 389 chose Galio.

TES decided to contest Voidgrubs this time and secured two early on, while T1 claimed the first Dragon. However, during the second set of Voidgrubs, TES lost a crucial team fight, and Faker secured some brilliant kills with great positioning.

By the 15-minute mark, T1 had a 2k gold lead, and all their players were ahead of TES, with Faker leading by 1.2k gold. TES tried to fight back by focusing on turrets and objectives, but even their attempt with Herald failed.

T1 returned to a cautious playstyle, but when TES went for another Dragon, T1 tried to stop them with little success. The mid-game was slow with no kills, but when T1 started Baron, TES attempted to intervene—only for all their players to be wiped out.

With the Baron buff and three Dragons, T1 demolished TES’s base, winning the game without losing a single player. This gave T1 a match point.

For Game 3, T1’s Keria picked Pyke, and Faker switched to Galio. Tian from TES chose Xin Zhao, who had been Oner’s champion in previous games.

T1 once again secured First Blood, and despite TES trying to hunt for kills, it was T1 who kept getting them. TES’s aggressive plays didn’t work out, and by 15 minutes, they were down 6k gold. TES managed to get a few kills and take a Dragon and Herald, but they struggled to close the gold gap.

TES showed some life in team fights, particularly around objectives like Baron, even managing to survive T1’s next Baron attempt. However, it was only a brief reprieve. T1 found key kills, and in a quick and decisive push, destroyed TES’s Nexus.

With this win, T1 eliminated Top Esports from Worlds 2024

and moved on to the semifinals.
