The Indian government has plans to approve Type-C as a standard charger. However, due to its misuse, the incidents of phone blasts are increasing because people are selling fake mobile chargers in the open market. To avoid this, the government app BIS Care can be used.
The owner of BIS Care App is Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). As you know, BIS works under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution of the Government of India. BIS is the quality certification body for products sold in India.
BIS Care App can be downloaded by every mobile phone user. It is available for Android users along with iOS.
First of all you have to download iOS and Android BIS Care App.
After this you have to open the app, and tap on Verify R no. under CRS.
Then you will see two options. If you want, you can identify real and fake chargers by scanning the product registration number or product QR code.
After this you will be able to check the name of the charger, product category, country in which the charger is made, Indian standard number and model.
When you buy a new charger, both the product number and the QR code are recorded on it. If this is not the case, then it can be detected at first glance that the charger is fake. Apart from this, the registration number is also recorded on the purchase receipt of the charger. Now the question arises that how is the charger written, so let us tell you that it starts in R-XXXXXXX format.
