iQOO 7 Long Term Review!
Greetings of the day Questers!!
Today, I want to give a long-term review of the DUAL CHIP MONSTER, the iQOO 7!
I purchased this monster on 27 May 2021 from Amazon for ₹33,990. I was actually thinking of purchasing the device or not and missed a ₹2000 coupon on this. And after receiving the package and using it, realised that I made the best decision! And its been 3 years 4 months and never been disappointed with the phone! And this was my first step into the iQOO journey.
After receiving the package, the journey starts. Using the mobile since the day as my primary device and never gave me hand in any situation. Completely satisfied with the device.
Coming to my review, the monster is performing same as I used it on the first day. In fact, it was performing better than the first day!
The Display
Comes with a 6.62 inch 120Hz AMOLED Display with 1300 peak brightness along with 300Hz Touch Sampling Rate protected with Corining Gorilla Glass 5.
Never disappoints in any situation. Even in sunlight!
This phone even comes with an dedicated Intelligent Display Chip! Which can increase the frame rate and optimize colors.
The phone also comes with Low brightness anti-flicker which reduces the screen flickering and ease eye strain when screen brightness is low.
Body
iQOO 7 comes with a premium design and has glass on both front and back which gives mobile a premium in hand feel.
Camera
I never disappointed with the output from this monster. And night shots from this phone are just awesome! All 3 cameras does justice and not a gimmick like competitors in market.
I'll attach some amazing outputs from my iQOO 7.
Videos from this phone are just amazing! Can record at 4K 60FPS!
Also you can switch between lenses while recording video, which is a very great thing.
Battery
iQOO 7 comes with an 4,400 mAH and gets a 66W flash charger in the box!
In the starting years I used to get a SOT of 6 hours!
And currently I'm getting around 4 hours of SOT. The SOT might decreased because of its aging. But still performs decent enough.
Software
Released with Android 11 with Funtouch OS 11.1, brand promised 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of security updates. But after 2 years,iQOO gave a very big surprise for its iQOO 7 users with a 3rd Android update! No other brand gives even a small security update after the policy is cleared but iQOO managed to give a Android 14 update even after their policy is completed.
Gaming
Gaming in this phone is just Awesome!
The 120hz display takes the gaming experience to the next level.
Even the battlegrounds mobile India supports 90fps gameplay in iQOO 7 where not other phones in competition those days got this option.
Conclusion
Most people believe that androids become slow after 2-3 years but iQOO cuts the statement. Even after 3 years of rough usage, my phone still performs like brand new and got even smoother after the updates!
The multitasking just got better after years and the apps that you opened long ago will be still in the background!
The picture and video quality from the phone are still the same as new and kudos to iQOO for providing such support to their users.
The battery back up got slightly decreased and charging time slightly got increase other than these, there are no issues in the phone, and can use the phone for next two or three years without any issues.
