Sanju Samson becomes the first Indian to Score Centuries in Consecutive T20I

Sanju Samson has made history by becoming the first Indian batsman to score centuries in two consecutive T20 International matches. This achievement took place during India's recent series against South Africa.

Key Highlights

  • First Century: On October 6, 2024, Samson scored 111 runs off 47 balls against Bangladesh in the last match of a three-match series. This was his first T20I century.
  • Second Century: On November 8, 2024, he followed that up with another impressive performance, scoring 104 runs off 55 balls in the first T20I against South Africa.

Records and Comparisons

Samson is not only the first Indian to achieve this but also the fourth player worldwide to score back-to-back centuries in T20Is. The other players who have done this are:
