The iQOO TWS 1e fits well and is comfortable for long durations, especially during workouts. They stay in place securely, and the lightweight design makes them ideal for extended use, whether you're at the gym or out for a run.
The sound quality is solid for its price range. The earbuds offer clear highs, balanced mids, and decent bass. While they may not deliver the deepest bass or the most refined sound, they are more than sufficient for everyday listening, and they provide a generally enjoyable experience.
Initially, I didn’t notice a significant change when toggling the ANC on. However, after deeper analysis, I noticed a slight reduction in background noise, but it’s subtle. The ANC isn’t as powerful as higher-end earbuds, but for the price, it’s not bad. It’s a decent feature to have, but it could definitely be improved for stronger noise cancellation.
The battery life is impressive. I’ve only charged the earbuds once in the past week, and they’re still going strong. The earbuds themselves last around 6 hours on a single charge, and the charging case provides an additional 18 hours of usage, making the total battery life around 24 hours. This is great value for the price point.
If you’re using an iQOO device, the connectivity is seamless. The earbuds connect almost instantly, and if Bluetooth is off, a pop-up notification will remind you to turn it on and pair. For non-iQOO devices, the pairing process is still easy, though it won’t have the same automatic connection speed that iQOO devices offer.
The call quality is decent. You’ll be able to hear and be heard clearly during phone calls, but it’s not the most premium experience. Don’t expect noise cancellation to work in busy or noisy environments, as the mic picks up some background noise.
The touch controls are somewhat limited. Each earbud offers two functions: double-tap and press-and-hold, the latter of which toggles between ANC, Transparency, and Off modes. However, it would have been great to have more customizable options. As it stands, you can either skip to next track or go to the previous track with the other bud (if opting for play and pause on the other bud). The absence of volume control is something to consider, although this is common in this price range. More control options would definitely have improved the overall user experience.
A key downside is the sensitivity of the touch controls. I experienced accidental activation when lying down, especially when using the earbuds in bed to watch movies or listen to music. Even the slightest touch from the pillow can trigger commands like play/pause or changing modes. This can be frustrating, particularly if you’re trying to use them in a relaxed or lying-down position.
The iQOO TWS 1e feels durable and well-built. I tested them during light rain and quickly removed them out of caution, but they survived just fine. They held up during other activities like washing my face and light exposure to moisture. While they aren’t fully waterproof, the water resistance is good enough for sweat, light rain, and accidental splashes.
For the price, the iQOO TWS 1e delivers solid performance with good sound quality, long battery life, and convenient features. The ANC works, though it’s subtle and could be improved. The iQOO-specific connectivity features are a standout for iQOO phone users, and the overall durability is impressive. While the touch controls could benefit from more customization and the sensitivity is a bit high for lying down, these are still a great choice for budget-conscious buyers. The combination of value, performance, and features makes them a good pick, especially for iQOO phone users.
