Hi iQOO Fam!💛
Zomato has introduced a new feature called Food Rescue in India to help reduce food wastage caused by canceled orders. This feature allows users to purchase food from recently canceled orders at discounted prices, provided they are within 3 kilometers of the restaurant and request an order within minutes.
The service promises timely delivery in original, undamaged packaging. However, some perishable items such as ice creams and shakes are excluded for quality assurance purposes. Additionally, users who prefer a vegetarian diet will see only vegetarian orders in their options.
If the original customer paid online for the canceled order, Zomato shares the new payment with both that customer and the restaurant. Zomato will only deduct the required government taxes. Delivery partners will also be fully compensated, regardless of whether the order is canceled or not.
To prevent abuse, Zomato requires original customers to pay 100% of the order amount as a cancellation fee if they decide to cancel. This measure is designed to discourage unnecessary interference and to keep the system fair. The feature has already received strong support, with 99.9% of Zomat restaurant partners reportedly signed up.
This move by Zomato aims to reduce food waste while providing added value to customers, restaurants and delivery staff.
Don't forget to share your opinion on this Move by Zomato. I hope you liked reading the thread. This was all from my side see you soon.
