and its free-to-play Battle Royale counterpart, Call of Duty: Warzone, have both received a new update that makes some handy adjustments to movement in both games, alongside a few other changes. Following the November 19 update, which was the second patch of the day for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone, players will now be able to perform the diving and sliding actions much quicker than before.
November 19 was a busy day for Treyarch, as the Black Ops 6 developer released multiple updates for the newest Call of Duty title. The first patch addressed multiple bugs, such as one that was causing shotguns to have a longer damage range than intended, but also brought back Legacy XP tokens after a huge amount of controversy over the weekend. While the launch of Black Ops 6 did not see Double XP tokens transfer from 2023's Modern Warfare 3, a surprise update saw them make a triumphant comeback, only for Treyarch to remove them just a few days later. Although Treyarch insisted that the return of the XP tokens was a bug, the community expressed their dissatisfaction with the removal, resulting in their return yesterday afternoon.
Just hours after the shooter's first update of the day, Treyarch released a second patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone which reduces the minimum sprint time required to perform dive-to-prone or slide, as well as a fix for an issue that was preventing players from sprinting after performing several actions within a short period of time. Treyarch says these changes apply to both Warzone and Black Ops 6 and should result in more responsive movements with fewer occurrences where players attempt to dive or slide but end up crouching instead.
Alongside some other minor bug fixes and adjustments to weapon trade stations, the November 19 update also reduces the reload time for Black Ops 6 assault rifles and light machine guns in Warzone by 10%. The studio says this change is to improve the overall flow and reduce downtime between gunfights, with future updates aiming to address other weapon classes.
While fans are loving Black Ops 6, its integration into Warzone hasn't gone down too well with the community due to a variety of issues. Not only was the fan-favorite Resurgence map Rebirth Island removed from Warzone just hours after its triumphant return, but Season 1 brought with it a variety of audio issues that are still yet to be completely fixed. Thankfully, with a steady stream of updates continuing to be released for the popular Battle Royale title, each patch comes with more and more improvements.
