Hello Questers,
One of the best moments to cherish in my life. I was honoured to receive the winner's prize in the magazine "The Hindu’s "Made of Chennai" photography contest, themed 'Life in a Day of Chennai'.
The Hindu Newspaper partnered with Madras Photobloggers to conduct a contest in memory of Chennai Week celebrations. Of the more than 2000 participants, 50 were the winners, and one of them was me.
The recognition in the "Street Life Photography" category is more personal, it underscores the power of street photography to connect people across cultures and experiences. The photographer's journey is a testament to the value of persistence, passion, and an unwavering belief in the power of storytelling. Their work inspires us, reminding us that the streets are alive with stories waiting to be discovered and shared.
Winning the award was a turning point in the photographer's career, bringing their work to a global audience. Their photographs, celebrated for their authenticity and social commentary, sparked conversations about daily stories on the streets through their lens and reminded viewers of human life's resilience, struggles, and beauty of human life.
I want to thank everyone who has supported me on this journey—friends, family, mentors, and those who’ve been kind enough to share their stories with me, knowingly or unknowingly. Your encouragement has been my inspiration every step in the way.
To all my fellow photographers, dreamers, and storytellers, keep exploring, creating, and capturing. The streets are alive with stories waiting to be told, and our lenses are the bridge that connects these moments to the world.
Here’s to celebrating art, storytelling, and the incredible power of photography. Thank you for being part of this journey with me! @iQOO Connect @JStreetS
