On Thursday, Dell Technologies published its 2025 predictions, highlighting the adoption of AI, the revolutionisation of human-computer interaction, and the evolution of agentic AI architecture.
According to John Roese, global chief technology officer and chief AI officer, “No matter which technology you explore today, there is a connective tissue into the AI ecosystem, and every technology is now either enabling AI or is enabled by AI. We are evolving from static and reactive AI to a more dynamic, autonomous, interactive, and profound set of tools that will allow us to go beyond.
The prediction also highlighted the paradigm shift in human-AI interaction, where the year 2025 is said to be agentic, an advancement in AI technology, which will also include the maturity of generative AI, resulting in sophisticated AI agents for autonomous operations with a diverse set of skills.
2025 is also predicted to be the year when organisations will be prioritising return on investment and business value from their AI initiatives, leading to the true scaling of enterprise AI. AI will also be used to tackle fraud detection and deploy digital humans for customer service.
According to Roese, AI’s true potential lies in its connections with other emerging technologies in areas like quantum computing, intelligent edge, zero trust security, 6G technologies, and digital twins.........
Roese said, “We know that there are going to be basic jobs that AI can do easily and repeatedly. However, the exciting part is that there are new jobs being created everywhere – software composers, AI interpreters, and thermal plumbers, to name a few.”
“Strong human-to-AI and human-to-human collaboration will be key to driving a shared digital future,” he said.
Dell Technologies’ 2025 predictions hint towards a future where humans and AI will work more closely than ever to enhance productivity, and the further maturation of AI will also lead to the creation of more powerful AI agents.
