Recently,TRAI has also introduced new measures to address spam and fraudulent messages. Starting December 1st, telecom companies must implement stricter traceability protocols for promotional messages.

Jio has introduced a new feature in the MyJio app. The update lets users block spam messages while ensuring that important communications, such as OTPs and critical updates, are unaffected.

How to block unwanted calls and SMS on MyJio app?

• Open the MyJio app on your phone or install it if necessary.

• Go to the “More" option in the app's menu.

• Select the Do Not Disturb (DND) option to block unwanted communication.

• Choose "Full Block" or "Promotional Communication Block"

• Customise settings to allow or block specific messages and calls according to your preferences.

Additionally, this feature enhances security by protecting users from phishing calls and safeguarding them against fraudulent attempts. With customised settings, users can prioritise important messages while minimizing unnecessary interruptions
