Instagram is rolling out a new way to highlight your favorite moments from 2024 with a collage feature for Stories that will cover the year in review. Available until the first week of January, users can combine their favorite photos and share them with friends in a customized layout.

Previously, creating a collage required manually resizing images or using Instagram's "Layout" feature, which limits images to grid formats. This new option simplifies the process and makes it easier to creatively showcase multiple moments.

In addition to collage, Instagram is rolling out other features at the end of the year. Year-end-themed "Add Yours" templates allow friends to respond with their own recap stories. Special text effects, including “New Year” and “Countdown” options, add festive touches, while holiday-themed DM chat themes enhance messaging. Instagram also introduces secret phrases like "Happy New Year" to notes and DMs, triggering unique visual effects.

With these updates, Instagram is helping users celebrate the past year and ring in 2025 with a little creativity and connection.
