Global Esports, a prominent Indian esports organization, has announced that it will not field a Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) team for the 2025 season. This decision comes despite Krafton India's recent unveiling of the BGMI 2025 esports roadmap, which includes major tournaments like BGIS 2025 and BMPS 2025, each boasting a prize pool of ₹2 crore.

In October 2024, Global Esports suspended its BGMI roster, citing concerns over the sustainability and stability of the esports ecosystem. The organization had indicated that future participation would depend on the details of the 2025 roadmap. However, after reviewing the announced plans, they have chosen not to re-enter the BGMI competitive scene at this time.

The CEO of Global Esports has previously expressed concerns about payment delays within the BGMI esports ecosystem, suggesting that such issues have influenced their decision to refrain from participating.

This development is significant, given Global Esports' history in the BGMI scene, including a runner-up finish in the BGIS 2024. Their absence in the upcoming season will undoubtedly impact the competitive landscape of BGMI esports in India.
