As of December 2024, the iQOO 7 has been in use for approximately three and a half years since its release in early 2021. Long-term user experiences highlight several aspects of the device's performance over this period.

Performance and Hardware: The iQOO 7 was initially praised for its robust hardware, including the Snapdragon 888 processor, 120Hz display, and 66W fast charging. Users have noted that the device maintained strong performance for about two years. However, as software demands increased, some users observed a decline in performance, with occasional stuttering and slower app load times. Additionally, the device's battery life, which was initially impressive, has reportedly diminished over time, with some users experiencing reduced screen-on time and faster battery drain.

Software Updates and Support: iQOO's track record with software updates has been a point of concern for long-term users. The device received limited major Android updates, and the lack of custom ROM support has left users with fewer options for extending the device's software lifespan. This has led to some dissatisfaction among users seeking longer-term software support.

Physical Durability: In terms of build quality, the iQOO 7 has been generally durable, with no widespread reports of physical degradation. However, as with many smartphones, individual experiences may vary based on usage patterns and environmental factors.

Conclusion: After nearly four years, the iQOO 7 has demonstrated solid performance and durability. However, diminishing battery life and limited software support have impacted the overall user experience. Users considering the iQOO 7 for long-term use should weigh these factors and consider their priorities regarding performance longevity and software updates.
