Oda, creator of One Piece, paid tribute to Dragon Ball mangaka Toriyama by redrawing a volume cover for the Dragon Ball Super Gallery project.

Dragon Ball celebrated its 40th anniversary with the project, allowing various mangaka to honor Toriyama's revolutionary work.

Oda has always admired Toriyama, showing his appreciation by redrawing volume 42 of Dragon Ball and expressing regret for not buying the manga while Toriyama was still alive.

Fans can expect to see more commemoration art from Oda towards Toriyama and Dragon Ball, especially when a new Dragon Ball event pops up.
