Hey Questers Instagram introducing trial reels to depressurize the experience of sharing reels and help people understand how content might perform before sharing it widely. Trial reels get shown to non-followers first and if you like how they perform, you can choose to share them with your followers. Our hope is that this helps people feel more comfortable experimenting with new ideas without worrying how their followers might react. Try it out and let me know what you think.

It would be cool to see how your reel is going to do before you even post it on IG

That's the idea behind the new feature IG has launched called Trial Reels.

All you have to do is share a reel and mark it as a trial; it won't show up on your profile or reels tab.

Instead IG will show your reel to some people who do not follow you and you can see how it's doing i.e. likes, comments, shares, etc.

Hopefully after this you can decide if you really want to share your reel to the world.

This way, sharing reels can become a bit less pressurized
