Difference between Trial version and closed Beta

So in system update page in the top right corner if u click 3 dots you get trial version and closed beta update options.today lets dive into these two.

click Version Trial

You will see the folowing next two options.

Here New version trial is basically software that is rolled out to people who are interested to try out new features ,before a final build public roll-out. These updates are usually safe to run and carry no risks.(Confirmed by iQOO hotline customer care team),here you can provide feedback for any inconsistencies occured.


The next is Closed Beta updates , these are unfinished builds are are recommended to not install on daily drivers or primary use phones , as they can be laden with bugs glitches and instable drivers,etc. This option is for people who like to tinker and explore the next major build and provide valuable feedback to the comapny on which bugs can be squashed ,kinks can be ironed out and everything can be be smooth and worry free to the general public.

Remember to accept to the terms and conditions before enrolling to the either one or both

in case of closed beta enrollment ,before enrolling an popup banner will once again show you all the risks affliated with closed builds and will ask you to check a box I have understood and agreed to all the terms like shown below:-

you can click either of them or both to read the privacy terms , which both are disclosed below:-

Also be warned before trying out closed beta , remember the risks it carries .

Its your phone , you can opt out from either one or both at your discretion, as you can see from the above two screenshots ,there is an option to withdraw consent.

if you click this , in the next page you will get the following options as shown below:-

keep the smart Upgrade option always toggled on. as the device will automatically download and update as you sleep . which you manually clicking the update and restart now button.

Local Upgrade is where you have obtained the firmware files from the company and you can downloaded them from you side and you have put those files into the phone storage (ROOT DIRECTORY),so you can update from there.

Software parameter update is minor update sent by the company to rectify errors and improve user experience ,if you click this screen it will show that your device is already on the latest parameters. and if you further click the settings gear icon as highlighted :-

Keep this option always on by default as it will improve your phone experience over time.
