Bihar is a front-runner in Esports and gaming in India and has successfully hosted various esports tournaments like the Bihar State eSports Open Championship and Bihar Divisional Esports Championship.

In a major boost to esports, Bihar is all set to host the National Esports Championship this June. This event will bring the fast-growing esports scene to the state. Ravindranath Shankaran, Director of the Bihar State Sports Authority, announced this during the Bihar State Esports Championship held over the weekend.

Bihar State Esports Championship witnessed enthusiastic partnership from the players across the state, who competed in the various games. Bihar's Sports Minister, Shri Surendra Mehta and other dignitaries facilitated winners of all the games. He also emphasized the importance of esports as a mainstream ssport

Winners of the Bihar State Esports Championship

The state championship featured intense competition in various popular esports titles, with top performers receiving accolades for their outstanding skills. The winners are as follows:

FIFA 24: Abhishek Kumar Singh secured the first position, showcasing his mastery of football tactics and gameplay mechanics.

Chess (Digital Version): Shashank Pratap emerged as the champion, demonstrating his strategic acumen in the classic game of chess, now in its digital format.

BGMI: Suraj Kumar clinched the top prize, excelling in first-person shooter gameplay and tactical skills.

Valorant: Rohit Kumar led his team to victory, proving his team-based strategy and precision in this competitive game.

The National Esports Championship is initiated to provide young talents a with stage to showcase their skill and represent Bihar nationally.
