ISRO is set to achieve a monumental milestone with its 100th rocket launch from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota!

The GSLV-F15 mission, scheduled for January 29, 2025, at 6:23 AM IST, will launch the NVS-02 satellite into a Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit. This is the 17th flight of the GSLV rocket and the 11th flight featuring an indigenous cryogenic stage, showcasing India's advancements in space technology.

The NVS-02 satellite, part of the second generation of NavIC satellites, brings enhanced features like support for the L1 frequency band, promising improved services and reliability. Designed for accurate Position, Velocity, and Timing (PVT) services, NavIC covers India and areas extending 1500 km beyond the Indian mainland.

Key Highlights:

Lift-off Mass: 2,250 kg

Power Handling Capability: 3 kW

Navigation Payload Bands: L1, L5, S

Position Accuracy: Better than 20 meters

Timing Accuracy: Better than 40 nanoseconds
