In our lives we follow the crew aboard the International Space Station (ISS) because they make an incredible discovery. A unicellular organism obtained from Mars, nicknamed Calvin. This seemingly simple organism, which was originally considered as evidence of extraterrestrial life, quickly developed into something much more complex and frightening. Calvin grows at alarming speed and demonstrates intelligence, adaptability and insatiable hunger for survival.

The crew of the playing star cast, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson and Ryan Reynolds, must face a scary realization that Calvin sees them as his second prey. What begins as a promising scientific mission turns rapidly into the struggle for survival, because the ability of the organism to overcome their understanding. Bets that have been imprisoned in the limited neighborhoods of the ISS could not be higher under them, the crew must stop Calvin at all costs before reaching our planet.

Now let's talk about the most important events of the film! Life excels in building tension and combines a claustrophobic environment with a scary score to keep the viewers on the edge. Visuals, from weightlessness of ISS interiors to scary design Calvin, are stunning and increase the realism of the story. The film also examines deeper topics, such as the risks of human efforts to know the unforeseen consequences of manipulation with forces outside our control.

Fun fact: The concept of the film draws inspiration from classic sci-fi horror films like Alien while adding its own modern twists. For example, Calvin's design was based on real biological studies, giving him a uniquely disturbing but trustworthy feeling.

So if you are in the one of the heart space that challenges our readiness for extraterrestrial meetings, life is a necessity. But be alert, let you think of what is behind them, or whether humanity should really look for it.

Hope you liked reading the thread, see you in the next one.
