Today, NVIDIA released the official architecture whitepaper for Blackwell. This document details the new technologies and improvements over its predecessor and confirms the specifications of the new cards. Among them are the specs for the RTX 5070 series, which had not been discussed in detail until now.

NVIDIA confirms that the RTX 5070 Ti will feature the GB203 GPU. This isn't surprising, as all custom RTX 5070 Ti models seen so far are identical to the RTX 5080, which uses the same GPU. The Ti version has lower power requirements and reduced clock speeds but retains the same memory configuration. The RTX 5070 Ti will feature 8,960 CUDA cores, 70 RT cores, and 96 ROPs.

NVIDIA GB200 GPU Family (Confirmed So Far):

• GB202: 92.2B transistors, 750 mm² die

• GB203: 45.6B transistors, 378 mm² die

• GB205: 31.1B transistors, 263 mm² die

The specs remain as reported earlier, with a minor update for the GB205 GPU. It has 31.1 billion transistors instead of 31.0 billion. While the difference is small, it slightly increases transistor density

NVIDIA has also confirmed that the RTX 5070 (non-Ti) will be the company's first GB205-based model. This is the third GPU from the Blackwell series to be confirmed so far. Although NVIDIA has revealed the full desktop and mobile specifications, it had not previously confirmed which GPU variants these models would use. The RTX 5070 (non-Ti) will ship with 6,144 CUDA cores, 48 RT cores, and 80 ROPs.
