India’s fastest and first-of-its-kind fully electric ferry in Kolkata, marking a significant milestone in sustainable water transport. The ferry was named "Dheu," which means "wave" in the Bengali language. The 24-meter-long ferry can accommodate 150 passengers in air-conditioned comfort, ensuring a noise- and vibration-free journey.

The Dheu Electric Ferry promises to reduce carbon emissions, lower operational costs, and provide a cleaner, quieter, and more efficient mode of transportation for passengers. This initiative not only highlights West Bengal’s commitment to green energy but also sets a new benchmark for maritime innovation in India.
