Unfortunately, despite the continued updates to Call of Duty's Ricochet anti-cheat system, cheaters are still finding new ways to cause carnage in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. The latest major issue to arise was recently posted on Twitter by user ItsHapa, who revealed that a new cheat tool now allows hackers to disconnect any player from the game while in a match.

The video shows a hacker using the tool to boot players from the lobby. After going through the entire enemy team, a countdown then begins with the message "enemies forfeiting," showcasing the worrying effectiveness of the tool.

With both Black Ops 6 and Warzone Ranked Play currently infested with cheaters, fans aren't happy with even more cheating issues appearing

Although the reason will vary from player to player, the sharp decline in Call of Duty players on Steam is speculated to be largely down to the ongoing cheating issue in Black Ops 6 and Warzone. While the former was a big success at release, with Activision stating that it was the biggest launch in Call of Duty history, Steam has seen a decline of almost 50% since Black Ops 6 was released.

While Season 2 had the potential to bring back many of its lost players, Steam only saw a peak of 84,431 users for the update's release, while 2023's Modern Warfare Season 2 update brought in 154,491 players.

The over 70,000 difference in players shows that the community needs to see some big improvements before returning to the title.
