Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has finally launched on PC, though a wealth of optimization issues have plagued the game's player base.

Making matters worse, the game has managed to be cracked by pirates within minutes, with torrents of the title swirling online.

In one report, nearly 300,000 people are attempting to download a cracked version of the game.

As TheGamer reported earlier on Friday, the game is being panned for a rash of issues, including poor optimization and crashes. In turn, the game has dropped to "Mixed" status on Steam, with over 1,500 reviews and counting. In one instance, a user recommended players hold off buying until the issues are resolved

On the other side of things, it's being claimed that the game has already been cracked on PC, meaning illegal torrents of the title are swirling.

What's more, it's claimed it only took two minutes to do so, given that the game did not launch with Denuvo.

In a separate thread on IconEra, it's reported that on one tracker alone, the game has amassed nearly 300,000 peers, or people who are also attempting to download the file.

For reference, Spider-Man 2's all-time peak, via SteamDB, sits at 24,205 players.
