Call of Duty releases an important update for PC users that fixes a recent blue screen error.

The new update is available now on Steam and Battle.net, but Microsoft Store users will need to wait until the update is rolled out on February 5.

Following the February 3 update, players were experiencing a severe blue screen error that would force restart PCs mid-game.

The latest Call of Duty update is currently only available for PC users on Steam and Battle.net, but Activision has confirmed that it will be rolling out the same update for the Microsoft Store sometime on February 5.

Call of Duty Update Fixes Blue Screen Error on PC

Following the February 3 update, fans quickly began reporting that the PC version of Call of Duty was experiencing a serious bug resulting in a blue screen error.

It's unclear what was causing the game to blue screen, but many players were being forced to restart their PCs halfway through a multiplayer match because of the error.

Activision has confirmed that the issue has been fixed on both Steam and Battle.net.

It's not just Black Ops 6 players encountering performance issues either.

Prior to the launch of the game's latest season, Activision released a lengthy community update and revealed that Warzone would have less content than originally anticipated for Season 2.

The studio explained that it would be prioritizing gameplay tuning, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements throughout the season, as opposed to new content.

As such, the launch of Season 2 meant that Warzone players only had new Ranked Play rewards and a new perk to check out.
