Today, renowned insider Digital Chat Station revealed that the first batch of Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and Dimensity 9500 flagship smartphones will debut in October, with some brands possibly pushing for an early launch in late September to hit the market before China’s National Day holiday.

Compared to 2024, this year’s flagship release schedule appears to be accelerating. On the technical side,

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is expected to be built on TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process, maintaining its 2P+6E CPU cluster design but with a higher clock speed for improved performance.

Meanwhile, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 is rumored to adopt a new 2P+6E CPU architecture, featuring two ARM’s Cortex-X930 super cores and six Cortex-A730 performance cores, also on TSMC’s third-generation 3nm node – N3P.

However, as both chipsets are still in the prototype stage, there are significant fluctuations in the leaked specifications. The actual performance figures may differ when the final products are unveiled.
