Disappointed with iQOO 13 After Real-World Usage
I had high expectations from the iQOO 13, given its impressive specs on paper. However, after real-world testing, I found it lagging behind in key areas compared to other devices.
1️⃣ Display Brightness Issue
While clicking pictures in the garden, I noticed that the iQOO Neo 9 Pro had a noticeably brighter display under sunlight, even though the iQOO 13 claims higher brightness in specs. In real usage, it struggles.
2️⃣ Camera Performance
Comparing images from the iQOO 13 and iQOO Neo 9 Pro, I found that the main camera quality of the flagship isn’t significantly better. Given its positioning as a premium device, I expected superior image processing, but it failed to impress.
3️⃣ Poor 5G & 4G Connectivity
Network connectivity is a major issue. With my old Samsung M51, I never faced call drops. But with the iQOO 13, I often have to dial 2-3 times to get through. This issue became more noticeable after the March 2025 update.
4️⃣ Need for Better Testing Instead of Just Updates
Instead of pushing frequent updates, iQOO should focus more on real-world testing. Despite having strong numbers in the spec sheet, the iQOO 13 underperforms in actual usage when compared to other devices in terms of camera, network, and display brightness.
For a flagship device, this is disappointing. Numbers alone don’t make a great phone—real-world performance does. iQOO needs to step up its game!
