Kojima Productions confirmed Death Stranding 2: On the Beach's release date at SXSW.

Preorders start on March 17, with a Collector's Edition available.

At a March 9 panel at South By Southwest (SXSW), Sony and Kojima Productions confirmed the release date for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.

Death Stranding 2 : On the Beach creator Hideo Kojima also showed off the Collector's Edition and said that preorders for the game will begin on Monday, March 17

Taking place sometime after the first Death Stranding title, the sequel will see characters like Sam Porter Bridges make their return, along with new cast members.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be released on June 26.

All preorders will include 48 hours of early access to Death Stranding 2. Given that Death Stranding 2 may be a psychological journey, it remains to be seen how long the Collector's Edition preorders will last.
