iQOO Neo 10R is the latest mid-range smartphone in India and one that’s performance-focused. It’s also iQOO’s first ‘R’ branded phone with dedicated gaming features. The iQOO Neo 10R sits in the sub-Rs 30,000 price segment with lots to offer in terms of performance, cameras, and battery life. It’s a solid all-rounder. However, there are a couple of areas where it falls short.
In this article, we’ll take a look at all the pros and cons of the iQOO Neo 10R based on our detailed review. Read to find out if you should buy or skip the new iQOO smartphone.
The iQOO Neo 10R offers a decent display experience. It has a 6.68-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 4,500 nits peak brightness, 120Hz refresh rate for normal scenarios and 144Hz for certain games. You get punchy colours and HDR support on OTT platforms. It also achieved respectable scores in our lab test.
The iQOO Neo 10R may stand out for its powerful performance but its cameras are also quite reliable. You get a 50MP primary camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide lens at the back. There’s a 32MP front camera for selfies. Colours appear accurate but the camera struggles with capturing finer details. It software processing smoothens out the images though.
The iQOO Neo 10R also does an impressive job with video recording, considering its price. Its primary camera supports video recording at 4K60fps, and front has 4K30fps support. The phone offers good stability, and balanced colours. You also get a Pro video mode to tweak the ISO and shutter speed.
Coming to its highlight, the iQOO Neo 10R uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. It has one of the best scores in synthetic benchmarks compared to rivals. The iQOO Neo 10R’s real-life performance was also impressive with hardly any lags. The phone can get slightly warm if you’re gaming but this doesn’t affect the performance.
The iQOO Neo 10R packs one of the biggest batteries in this price range — 6,400mAh. It comes with 80W fast charging support, which takes around 40 minutes to go from 20 to 100 percent. In our PCMark battery test, the iQOO Neo 10R lasted over 16 hours, which is quite high compared to rivals. The phone easily lasts for a day on regular usage. It still doesn’t dry out even with the highest settings enabled, heavy gaming, and photography.
The iQOO Neo 10R doesn’t have NFC suport, which seems suprising especially in 2025. NFC enables seamless digital payments and information sharing, and while it may not be widely used, it still feels like one important feature to have for its price point.
Build quality could’ve been better
The iQOO Neo 10R comes in a plastic body that feels somewhat sub-standard without a case. It has only two colour options, which also don’t add much appeal. The Raging Blue variant has a dual-tone finish but the bright colour might feel overwhelming to some. The MoonKnight Titanium is the complete opposite offering a subtle look, which might start to look dull over time. It has decent durability though with an IP65 rating and SCHOTT Xensation Up display protection.
