Review : iQOO Neo10R - A Gamer's Budget Dream Device

Hello Questers ❤️

Let me start by saying this: the iQOO Neo 10R feels like it was made for someone like me - someone who loves a good gaming session but doesn't want to sell a kidney to afford a flagship phone😂. Priced starting at ₹26,999 (and dropping to ₹24,999 with offers), it's a mid-range beast that include power packed performance with large battery life.

I am writing my review after using the device, for 2 weeks. ps. Complete Honest review

Design and Build: Funky but Practical

The first thing that hits you is the design. I got my hands on the Raging Blue variant (there's also a MoonKnight Titanium option) we all have seen in Sneak peek events.

This raging blue color has got this cool dual-tone vibe—blue fading into white with a pixelated texture that screams“racing track inspo.”It's bold, sporty, and honestly, pretty fun to look at. Considering Neo 9 Pro which had Leather back, its having Glass Back. I always recommend it to use it with sillicon cover available in the box. At 196 grams and just 7.98mm thin, it's surprisingly light for a phone packing a massive battery. Oh, and it's IP65-rated, so a little splash or dust won't ruin your day.

Display: Smooth as Butter

The 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen is a stunner. With a 144Hz refresh rate, scrolling through Instagram or blasting through Call of Duty Mobile feels silky smooth. X users rave about how it handles games like BGMI at 90fps, and I can see why—the visuals are crisp, colors pop, and it's bright enough to use outdoors (up to 4,500 nits peak brightness, they say).

One catch: the full 144Hz only kicks in for specific games (think Clash of Clans or Brawl Stars), but for everyday use, 120Hz is still plenty snappy. Watching Netflix on this? Absolute treat—deep blacks and punchy HDR vibes. The flat panel with Schott Xensation glass feels solid too.

*Update : BGMI 120 FPS is Unlocked in all Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Devices and iQOO Neo 10R has recieved support for it averaging FPS 118

Performance: Powerhouse on a Budget

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset is the real match winner. It's a steal processor considering the price and the competetion. As per my testing ANTUTU score is more than 1.4million, and in my imaginary week of use, I'd bet it handles everything I throw at it—multitasking, video editing, and hours of gaming—without breaking a sweat.

Paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage (the 128GB base model gets UFS 3.1), it's zippy and quick Gaming-wise, it's a champ—stable 90fps in BGMI or COD Mobile, and the 6,043mm² vapor cooling chamber keeps things from getting too toasty. I'd probably notice some warmth after an hour, but nothing hand-burning.

*ANTUTU Score depends on Various Lab Conditions and Actual score might diifer as claimed by company.

Battery: A Marathon Runner

The 6,400mAh battery is a game-changer. Seriously, how did they fit this into such a slim body? X folks say it lasts 1.5-2 days with mixed use, and I'd agree—gaming, streaming, and calls barely dent it. Even heavy gamers could squeeze out a full day. In My testing - I have charged my device two days ago and still battery lasted at 55 % - With Gaming and Performance Usage - I Played Genshin Impact and BGMI.

The 80W fast charging is clutch too—0 to 50% in about 26 minutes, fully juiced in under an hour. Theres even a bypass charging feature for gaming, routing power straight to the motherboard to save battery health. For someone who forgets to plug in overnight, this is a lifesaver.

It also supports 55W PD Charging - with MAX 7.5W Reverse Charging.

Cameras: Decent shooters

The camera setup - 50MP main with OIS, 8MP ultrawide, and 32MP selfie - gets the job done, but it's not winning any photography awards. Daylight shots are sharp with good colors, and the OIS helps with low-light snaps, but the ultrawide can get a bit distorted at the edges. Video at 4K 60fps is smooth and stable, which surprised me for the price. Selfies? Solid details.

Update - Currently Testing Camera, Will Upload All samples once done.

Software: Snappy and Fluid

Running Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15, it's smooth and packed with features—think AI Photo Enhance and Circle to Search

iQOO promises 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches, so it's future-proofed. The downside? Bloatware. Snapchat, Facebook, and some iQOO apps come pre-installed, though most can be uninstalled (except the browser). Once you tweak the settings to kill the ads, it's a clean, fast experience.

Little things that matter

The stereo speakers are loud with decent bass—great for gaming or music. There's an IR blaster too, which I'd use to control my TV , Projector. The in-display fingerprint sensor is quick, even with sweaty fingers, and the haptics feel crisp.

Final Verdict

The iQOO Neo 10R is a no-brainer if you're a gamer or power user on a budget. The performance, display, and battery life are killer, and at ₹24,999 (with offers), it's hard to find a better deal
